Nintendo Games Consoles of 2007
Mood:  cheeky
Topic: Nintendo

So this has been a pretty crazy year, in my life and in the lives of everyone else so I've heard.

Well, the craziest thing so far has to be the games console wars, between Microsoft's Xbox 360 and their various editions including the Elite, the Arcade, the premium and the core system. Then there was the Playstation 3 now with its Blu-ray disk player. There was much controversy over the reduction in the hard drive space and also the loss of backwards compatitbility with PS2 games so with lots of people scrabmling to find a PS3 60GB many were unfortunately disappointed.

Then we have the Wii, what can we say about the Nintendo Wii other than that it has taken the gaming world by storm. When everyone first heard of it we all thought, damn what a stupid name but it seems to be growing like the fungus in a field. The gameplay allowed by the system is like nothing else and attach a few of the console attachments like the Light sabre and you too can fight like Luke Skywalker or Link in the quest for Zelda.

And last but by certainly no means least we have the Nintendo DS Lite which has completely out done itself, with the lite being release just 12 months after the initial releave of the Nintendo DS it was a bit of a suprise to everyone. What was most suprising is how much they managed to increase the usability of the device as well as reduce the dimensional aspects such as the weight and size but not comprimising on the size of the screen of playability. And with its interactive mode where you can play multiplayer over a wifi network it really is as revolutionary as the Nintendo Wii.

So thats it for 2007, almost another year done, but almost the beginning of another year in the world of games consoles and gadgets. Do we know what is in store for next year??? Of course we do, think PSP Phone and Ugobe Pleo and lots more besides.
